Chris Martin has gone from “Viva La Vida” to Viva Las Vegas!
During a couple’s wedding photo shoot at the Tunnel of Love in Las Vegas, the Coldplay frontman, 47, surprised the two in an unusual disguise, which resulted in him joining in on the fun.
Martin’s outing came as the singer took a break from the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival and decided to spend time handing out balloons in Sin City. He wore a frumpy oversized brown suit with a yellow button-down shirt and blue tie. He paired the ensemble with a clunky pair of sneakers and thick-framed glasses.
What made the “A Sky Full of Stars” creator unrecognizable was the red-haired wig he donned to complete the disguise.
Mary Zatezalo and Austin Sanders, a couple from Phoenix, had been taking photos at the Tunnel of Love when Martin approached them, handing out red balloons.
The singer and couple chatted for a few minutes and then posed for pictures all smiles with the balloons.
PEOPLE reached out to Zatezalo for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.
Martin’s night out in Las Vegas didn’t stop there. He later appeared at the dive bar Dino’s to belt out “All My Love” for karaoke for a music video as part of their upcoming album, Billboard reported. During the performance, Martin kept the ill-fitting suit and clutched the balloons, according to a fan video shared on YouTube.
The bar’s Instagram account posted on Sept. 22 thanking the singer for “CHOOSING US TO RECORD YOUR MUSIC VIDEO WITH 🤯,” adding how the visit was “SUCH A VIRAL MOMENT. BIGGEST SURPRISE OF THE YEAR.”
“Thank you again for being such a cool dude,” the caption added. “Good luck on the new album & we hope to see you in the future.”

Though “All My Love” has yet to be released, Coldplay surprised newlyweds with a studio version of the song for their first dance at their wedding earlier this month.
Super fans Paul and Céline Delcloy told PEOPLE that the song is “deeply meaningful” and reached out to Coldplay’s manager, Phil Harvey, on X (formerly Twitter) to help them have the song as part of their wedding.
The band pulled through, providing the track for the wedding, making the Delcloys’ big day even more special.
The iconic band has already dropped two singles ahead of the release of their upcoming album, Moon Music: “Feels Like I’m Falling in Love” and “We Pray” featuring Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna and Tini.
Coldplay is set to release their 10th studio album in its entirety on Oct. 4.
