Comedian Known for Kamala Harris Impressions Says Claims Boyfriend Tried to Murder Her: Complaint

A woman known for her viral Kamala Harris impressions on social media claims that her boyfriend attempted to murder her.

In a 14-page complaint filed in New York Supreme Court on Monday, Sept. 30 and obtained by PEOPLE, Sienna Hubert-Ross alleges she was the victim of “brutal assault, battery and attempted murder” at the hands of Oliver Lane.

She is seeking $5,000,000 in damages.

Hubert-Ross, 25, says she and British-born Lane, 26, “met on the dating app Hinge and went on their first date on May 14, 2024,” per court documents.

The complaint alleges that from the start, Lane was “very interested in Hubert-Ross’ public persona,” “almost to the point of obsession” as the model and comedian boasts nearly 300,000 followers on Instagram.

However, his admiration soon turned into abuse, she claims.

After “approximately a week-and-a-half of dating,” Lane suggested that Hubert-Ross move into an “expensive” apartment, co-rented with Lane’s friend, Will. Hubert-Ross expressed her disapproval for the proposed living situation, which led to “frequent and common” arguments between the couple, per the complaint.

Though other concerns were brought up, her “greatest” one was that “Hubert-Ross believed Will had a homosexual love interest in Lane and if they lived together, Will and Lane would engage in a romantic affair. This disagreement over the living situation led to two separate instances of assault and battery,” the complaint says.

Hubert-Ross alleges in the complaint that on July 26, 2024, the couple went to a bar in New York City called O’Hanlon’s where she and Lane once again began to argue over the living situation. Their conversation allegedly turned heated and Lane is accused of “forcefully [shoving] Hubert-Ross at the bar and in public.”

As they were riding home in a cab, Lane allegedly yelled, “I’m going to f—— kill you!” Hubert-Ross alleges.

The next day, she alleges he became physical with her again and “she ultimately conceded and agreed” to live with Lane and Will.

The complaint adds that on the night of Aug. 7, the couple was out at another bar with friends, including one who Hubert-Ross had a “casual relationship” with several years ago. The complaint alleges that Lane was aware of the previous relationship.

“As the night progressed, Lane alternated between berating and ignoring Hubert-Ross due to his insecurities regarding her prior casual relationship,” she alleges.

After returning home, “now in the early morning of August 8, 2024, Lane continued to confront Hubert-Ross about her prior relationship. He allegedly “became extremely angry, raising his voice and verbally abusing Hubert-Ross,” she adds in the complaint.

During their argument, Lane “accidentally disclosed” that he was still in touch with an ex, Hubert-Ross continues in the complaint. She alleges that she saw messages in Lane’s cellphone where he told his ex “she was the only one for him and that Lane often woke up thinking about her, when he was in bed with Hubert-Ross.”

She then claims Lane “snatched” his phone back from her and “violently threw her into the stove” where she laid “stunned and shocked by what had just occurred.”

Her complaint alleges it was “just the beginning of Lane’s violent assault and attempted murder.”

Lane allegedly “dragged her into the bathroom” and threw her into the bathtub, with a 115-lb Hubert-Ross left defenseless against the “physical assault.” The alleged assault then moved to their living room where Hubert-Ross said she was able to grab Lane’s phone during the struggle and “sent screenshots of Lane’s texts with his ex to her phone” to alert her “friends and family about what transpired in the event that Lane killed her.”

After Lane left for the bedroom, Hubert-Ross says in her filing that she was able to grab her phone and call her mother from one of the bedrooms and her mother merged the call with one of her friends, who called the police as they listened to the alleged attack.

Hubert-Ross claims that during the altercation, she was thrown off of the bed “causing her to violently hit her head against the bottom of the bed frame” where “she briefly lost consciousness,” before Lane allegedly sat on her and “violently slapped her across the face at full strength multiple times,” “and told her he wanted to kill her.”

She also alleges that he tried to “suffocate” her with a pillow.

“Thankfully, Lane’s first missed punch of the night created a barrier of broken glass between him and Hubert-Ross. Then, before Lane could then finish the job and kill Hubert-Ross, he stepped on the broken glass which temporarily disabled him in time for the police – called by Sarah [Hubert-Ross’ friend] – to arrive at the scene,” the complaint adds.

In the complaint, Hubert-Ross claims she “sustained significant injuries and severe emotional and psychological distress.”

In a statement to PEOPLE, the firm representing Hubert-Ross said, “We are proud of Ms. Hubert-Ross for having the courage to come forward as an advocate for victims of domestic-violence and even more so, as an advocate for herself.”

The firm further claimed, echoing the complaint, “The allegations against Mr. Lane are very serious as it was a brutal attack leaving both physical and emotional scars that will haunt her for the rest of her life. Mr. Lane will now be forced to answer for his crimes, and we look forward to ensuring he pays for his cowardly actions.”

PEOPLE was unable to immediately reach Lane for comment.
