The new Disney Dreamlight Valley theme has been announced and it has nothing to do with the spooky season in October. The game releases a new theme, character, or Star Path about every two months. The next theme is officially on the way, though the news is receiving a mixed reaction from the community.
October 2024’s Dreamlight Valley update will be focused on the jungle and The Lion King, according to a post from Disney Dreamlight Valley on X. The update will add the confirmed Timon and Pumbaa to the game, as well as a new story, decor items, outfits, and more.
The last Dreamlight Valley Star Path was themed around Princess Tiana and added the New Orleans and Roaring Twenties themes. Although a jungle update has the potential for fun new designs and adventures, the timing has left many fans confused, The community has been anticipating a fall or spooky theme, and the lush and vibrant jungle imagery from the preview doesn’t align with this expectation.
What Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Jungle Theme Means For Its Next Star Path
Although the next free update for Dreamlight Valley will be focused on the jungle, this doesn’t mean that the Star Path will follow suit. The Star Path may still include a fall or Halloween theme, making for an “autumn in the jungle” vibe.
However, hints for Dreamlight Valley released in late September on the game’s X account have left the community baffled about the next Star Path. The hints show six emojis, none of which are related to the Lion King nor to autumn or Halloween. No other information about the Star Path is known at this point.
We Believe The Halloween Content Is Still Coming To Disney Dreamlight Valley
It May Just Arrive Later Than Expected
Cozy games and autumn make for a perfect combination, and the community has been looking forward to the season. I’ve seen many player designs featuring fall colors and spooky themes, and I don’t believe that Disney would turn a deaf ear to these requests for a Halloween update.
I believe that a Halloween update is coming, but it may be later than fans expected. According to the official roadmap shared on the Dreamlight Valley website, the game plans to add Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas to the game in “late 2024.” Sally is a unique character because she exists somewhere between Christmas and Halloween, which is when I think the Halloween update will arrive.
There’s no set release date for the next Disney Dreamlight Valley content update, but a Developer Update Video will be released tomorrow, allowing fans to learn more about the upcoming content.
