Drew Barrymore and Chloë Sevigny recall kissing in a bathroom in the ’90s

Drew Barrymore and Chloë Sevigny are reminiscing over the time they kissed in a bathroom at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in the ‘90s. 

The actresses’ liplock was brought up in the form of a trivia question for an excited audience member during Wednesday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. 

“We had a really amazing hang time at the Sunset Marquis Hotel,” Barrymore prefaced before the question. “We were getting together, we had a long dinner, we were talking about a story that I’m so passionate about, which ended up becoming a film that Chloë was not only in, but got nominated for an Academy Award for called Boys Don’t Cry. That’s a bond for us.”

The host then told Sevigny that she “thought I’d turn our intimate, fun moment in the Sunset Marquis into a trivia question” for the show. Sevigny was totally down, replying, “We should! We’re entertainers!”

The pair then selected a woman in the audience who, if she answered the question correctly, would receive a $1,000 prize. “We shared something in the bathroom in the ‘90s. What was it?” Barrymore said, offering lipstick, toilet paper, and a kiss as the three possible options. 

After a quick commercial break, the woman selected lipstick as her answer. “Well, it did involve lipstick,” Barrymore replied. Sevigny burst into laughter, adding, “It was the ‘90s!” 

Barrymore agreed. “It was the ‘90s. It was a kiss,” she said as the pair giggled on set. “We were very free and just having the best time and it was just the sexiest, cutest, most [meow].”

But all’s well that ends well, because Barrymore then gifted the woman the $1,000 even though she answered incorrectly — with one perfect caveat. “Go out and buy a bunch of lipsticks, okay?” She teased.
