PROBLEM
‘I struggle to find clothes that suit my petite frame: I’m 5ft 3in with a very short upper body. Often, I’ll see clothes that look nice on someone else but when I try them on in shops they drown me. It’s disheartening and means I revert to wearing jeans, a baggy jumper or a loose-fitting shirt. I’m fed up of outfit after outfit doing nothing for me because the fit isn’t right.’

SOLUTION
I will never not recommend a jumpsuit. They come in lots of styles and silhouettes, and smarter designs such as this Phase Eight number will deliver in so many ways with minimal effort. The combination of the high waist, V-neck and pleats in the trousers elongates Sue’s petite frame, and the neutral colour allows her to play around with different tonal accessories.

SUE’S VERDICT
‘I’d never thought jumpsuits appropriate for my office job until Steph showed me how accessories can completely change their look. Teamed with a jacket, this would be a great work outfit, but you can also jazz it up with sunnies and heels for an evening out. And its cut is perfect because it cinches in at my waist. It just goes to show what a big difference properly tailored clothes make.’
