Jason Bateman recently returned to his clean-cut hairstyle.

The Ozark star, 55, was photographed alongside Will Arnett, Justin Theroux, Paul Rudd and Matt Damon at Robert Downey Jr.’s Broadway debut in McNeal at The Vivian Beaumont Theater in New York City on Monday, Sept. 30.

The actor’s short haircut follows his nine-month endeavor of growing out his hair and beard. In early January, he was photographed at the Stanford Cardinals and the USC Trojans game in Los Angeles, sporting his new look. At the time, Bateman had his brown hair resting just above his shoulders and a growing beard.

In April, Bateman was making progress and shocked fans with his growing transformation. While he and Theroux, 53, attended a New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers game, he stunned fans with his new look that some even compared it to his Little House on the Prairie character James Cooper Ingalls.

Throughout the summer, he was photographed with the grizzly look while filming his new limited series, Black Rabbit, in New York City. On Sept. 19, his hair was even longer, reaching a few inches below his shoulders, and he wore a beard that covered his neck.

Netflix hasn’t revealed many details of the upcoming series, but based on Bateman’s recent time on set, could his beard be part of his character’s look?

In Black Rabbit, Bateman stars alongside Jude Law and Abbey Lee. The official logline for the series reads: “When the owner of a New York City hotspot allows his turbulent brother back in his life, he opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he’s built.”

Bateman will also executive produce the series and direct the first two episodes. According to Netflix, former Ozark costar Laura Linney will direct the third and fourth episodes.

Netflix has not announced a premiere date for Black Rabbit, which was created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman.
