Aston Villa have signed Liverpool midfielder Missy Bo Kearns for a fee of up to about £100,000 including add-ons.
The 23-year-old, who was on standby for the last senior England team, has dropped down the pecking order at Liverpool and moved in search of regular football.
Kearns has signed a three-year deal with the West Midlands club and Villa boss Robert de Pauw said: “Missy Bo is a great asset for our team.
“She is a good player and has the potential to be a future leader.”
Kearns had been with Liverpool since she was eight years old and played for the club 103 times, while enjoying a loan spell at Blackburn in 2019-20.
Liverpool manager Matt Beard added: “We respect Missy Bo’s decision and she departs with our very best wishes and I’m sure those of our fans.
“She has worn the shirt with the pride of a local girl and I have enjoyed my time working with her over so many years.”
