The Bachelorette’s Devin Strader Allegedly DMed Ashley Iaconetti’s Friend Before Finale

According to Ashley Iaconetti, Jenn Tran’s ex Devin Strader was up to no good before The Bachelorette season 21 finale.

On the Sept. 4 episode of the Almost Famous podcast, Ashley told her cohost Ben Higgins that Devin had allegedly reached out to one of her friends on social media before the dramatic finale earlier this week.

“Within the past week, I heard from a really good friend who said that Devin had slid into her DMs,” she claimed. When Ben asked if the friend was a member of Bachelor Nation, Ashley said she wasn’t “which makes it worse.”

“This girl followed him, just because she’s been a fan of him from the show, liked his personality,” she added. “Then, he DM’d her.”

During the season finale on Sept. 3, Bachelorette fans were in for shock when Jenn and Devin revealed that the couple broke up after getting engaged in Hawaii. Jenn opened up about what happened in their relationship on the After the Final Rose special, revealing Devin’s feelings changed almost immediately.

“As soon as we had left Hawai’i, things were just different,” she told host Jesse Palmer. “It kind of just felt like he was pulling away all the promises that he had made to me — wanting to move somewhere together, and wanting to have this future planned out, and wanting to see each other all the time.”

Jenn explained that she stopped receiving calls and texts from Devin, and grew “confused.” Then, one night, she got a call from her then fiancé.

“He called me, and he basically broke off the engagement,” she said. “[He said] he didn’t love me anymore, feel the same way and felt like something had been off since the second thing he proposed. He regretted getting engaged.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Jenn dropped a major bombshell about what went down in the moments after their split.

“What I can’t understand is everything that you did after we’ve broken our engagement,” she cried. “Ending the engagement on a phone call, and the next day, I wake up to you following girls on Instagram — not just any girl, but Maria [Georgas]. Not only is that so disrespectful to everything that we had shared together, I just don’t understand it.”

“Why would you do something like that?” she asked him, referring to her former castmate on Joey Graziadei’s season. “Because it completely invalidated our entire relationship, everything that I had felt for you, everything that we’d felt for each other.”
