Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Flash #12!A beautiful moment between the Flash and his wife once and for all proves that their love is just as powerful as Superman and Lois Lane’s relationship. The last year has seen Wally West and Linda Park-West drift apart, but they finally reunite in a moment that will tug at the heartstrings of any fan.
In The Flash #12 by Simon Spurrier, Ramón Pérez, and Vasco Georgiev, the Flash Family travels into the Speed Force to rescue the Flash while Linda manages to psychically communicate with Wally.
Linda tells her husband that she was lost after giving birth, and Abra Kadabra made things worse by using tech to strip her of her positive thoughts and feelings. But those feelings manifested as a being known as the Resident and found the Flash when he was at his lowest. The two embrace one another as Linda promises the Flash she’ll always find him wherever he is.
The Flash and Linda Park-West Finally Reunite in a Tear-Jerking Moment
The entire Flash Family has been through the works after they were targeted by the Arc Angles. As part of a conspiracy to isolate Wally West and weaponize him, the Arc Angles hired Abra Kadabra and gave him tech to alter Linda’s mind. Shortly after the birth of her and Wally’s son Wade, Linda began growing colder and more distant. This wasn’t simply post-partum depression as Kadabra was constantly playing frequencies to alter Linda’s mental state. While Kadabra worked Linda, the Arc Angles manipulated Flash in the Gallery of Moments, emptying his mind and turning him into their perfect weapon.
Whenever Wally was in the Gallery, he started to lose his connections to his friends and family. But the Resident always stayed at his side, imploring Wally to never forget those who love him. The revelation that the Resident was a physical manifestation of Linda’s love and positive feelings for Wally is a beautiful one. The entire time, it seemed like Flash and Linda were at one of their lowest moments. But they were always together and Linda never let Wally suffer alone. This moment is as beautiful as any moment in Superman and Lois Lane’s history.
Flash and Linda Have Exactly What Superman and Lois Have
It’s hard to compare relationships, especially one as perfect and idyllic as Clark and Lois’. But Wally and Linda have been through just as much as those two have and nothing has been able to shatter their love. Not death, not a universe-wide reboot, and not even a conspiracy orchestrated by incomprehensible beings. The Flash and his wife’s love is strong enough to weather anything and that’s hard to come by in comic books. Superman and Lois might have the most famous relationship but don’t doubt for a second that Flash and Linda’s is just as strong.
The Flash #12 is available now from DC Comics.

The Flash
The Flash is the superhero name given to the DC Comics character who utilizes unparalleled speed tied to a dimensional power known as the “speed force” to overwhelm their opposition. Premiering in 1939, the original Flash arrived as Jay Garrick. Still, it would be superseded by Barry Allen in popularity and featured status, but the Flash is one character that has met many of their alternate selves. The character is typically seen as a part of the Justice League in nearly all incarnations.
