By the numbers, there’ll be over 50 BMX riders, 190 track cyclists competing in sprint (individual, team and keirin) and endurance (Madison, omnium and team pursuit) and 180 road cyclists racing for Olympic glory. This year is the first time Olympic cycling contains an even split of women and men, achieving the Union Cycliste Internationale’s objective of gender equality.

Most of the cycling events begin early morning for West Coast viewers, with the earliest being men’s road cycling at 2 a.m. PT on Aug. 3 and BMX freestyling starting between 4 to 7 a.m. PT. Not an early riser? Cord-cutters can record morning cycling events through digital cable TV providers such as Peacock, DirecTV Stream, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, Sling and others.
