The goal of the 2024 Paris Olympics is to be the most environmentally-friendly Games ever, and to France’s credit, in many ways they have become a model for how to use existing arenas and stadiums for Olympic events to avoid building new permanent Olympic structures. One of the only exceptions is the recently built Aquatics Center, where all swimming and diving events will take place. That new facility features state of the art design, which will no doubt enhance the upcoming Diving competition when it begins on July 27, and will be used as a multi-sport facility that’s open to the public starting in 2025.
There will be 136 athletes from across the globe competing in Olympic Diving, which consists of eight events: Men’s and Women’s 3M springboard, Men’s and Women’s 10M platform, Men’s and Women’s synchronized 3M springboard, and Men’s and Women’s synchronized 10M platform. The U.S. Diving team consists of four men and six women, including three silver medalists from the Tokyo Olympics, Delaney Schnell, Jessica Parratto and Andrew Capobianco.
We’ve got the full schedule and list of competitors so you can see who’s making a splash (or… not making a splash?) at this year’s Games.
