It’s been over 20 years, and the world is still wrapped up in the infamous double-murder case of Laci Peterson and her unborn son. The conversations dive into Scott Peterson’s side of the story as he speaks with director and executive producer Shareen Anderson, who has been investigating this case for over a decade. Since his last interview in 2003, Peterson has maintained his innocence.
For backstory: On Nov. 12, 2004, Scott Peterson was convicted on two counts of murder: the first-degree murder of his eight-months pregnant wife, Laci Peterson, and the second-degree murder of his unborn child, Conner.
The guilty verdict initially resulted in a death sentence, which was overturned in 2020 and reduced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole in 2021. And in 2024, the Los Angeles Innocence Project took over Scott’s case, leading us to the present moment and the setting of the true crime docuseries.
