John Mulaney is returning to Broadway this winter as part of a comedic show with a rotating cast.
The show, All In: Comedy About Love, will be led by Mulaney for the first five weeks, with a cast including Fred Armisen, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Chloe Fineman and Richard Kind. All In will feature a rotating cast of four actors for 10 weeks, with additional casting to be announced at a later date.
The show, written by Simon Rich, begins performances at the Hudson Theater on Dec. 11. Goldsberry will appear in performances from Dec. 11 through Dec. 30 and Fineman will appear from Jan. 2 through Jan. 12.
The show features a series of humorous stories about dating, heartbreak, marriage and more, adapted from short stories by Rich that had previously appeared in The New Yorker. “Sometimes they will play pirates, sometimes they will play dogs, and there’s one where we make them talk in British accents. But even though the show’s kind of all over the place, it’s meant to tell one simple story: that the most important part of life is who we share it with,” the production description reads.
All In is directed by Alex Timbers, marking his fourth collaboration with Mulaney, after directing his comedy specials Kid Gorgeous and Baby J and his previous Broadway show ,Oh, Hello, with Nick Kroll. Rich and Mulaney worked together as writers on Saturday Night Live.
Seaview and Lorne Michaels are producing with New Yorker Studios.
