Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s latest “first” is a fall staple!
As summer nears its end, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star, who is currently pregnant and expecting a baby with boyfriend Ken Urker, decided to kickstart autumn by trying a quintessential fall beverage: Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL).
Since she was released from prison last December, the Munchausen by proxy victim — who served eight years of a 10-year sentence for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard — has documented several “firsts,” including trips to In-N-Out Burger and Sephora.
In a new TikTok shared on Sunday, Aug. 25, Blanchard, 33, took her followers behind the scenes of another “first” — her very first sip of Starbucks’ iconic PSL.
“Good morning y’all! So today, I am going to get my first Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks,” she told the camera from the passenger seat as Urker drove.
After Urker ordered them both lattes to taste at the Starbucks drive-thru window — hot for Urker and iced for Blanchard — the pair tried the PSLs.
Following a quick sip and a second to take in the flavor, Blanchard gave an enthusiastic, “Oh, that’s good!”
“Alright, I’ll try the hot one,” she continued, before taking a sip from Urker’s drink and declaring, “I like the iced one better” with a laugh, eliciting a chuckle from her boyfriend in the driver’s seat.
“Now maybe if it was a cold day, the warm would be better, but it is Southern Louisiana, so I do like the iced better,” she added.
After some couple’s banter, Blanchard wrapped the video by saying, “Alright y’all, thank you for joining us on our Starbucks experience. Bye!”
“First time tasting the famous Starbucks pumpkin spice latte!!! 🎃☕️,” she wrote in the caption alongside a disclaimer about consuming caffeine while pregnant.
“*DISCLAIMER* Women who are pregnant are allowed to consume a maximum of 200 mg of caffeine per day,” Blanchard wrote. “Caffeine is safe in moderation.”
This warning is echoed on the World Health Organization’s website, which states that for “women with high daily caffeine intake (more than 300 mg per day), lowering daily caffeine intake during pregnancy is recommended to reduce the risk of pregnancy loss and low birth weight [newborns].”

The couple’s PSL taste test comes over a month after they revealed that they are expecting their first child together.
Blanchard announced her pregnancy on YouTube on July 9. In a video titled “I’m Pregnant, My Journey So Far,” she said, “I know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now, and I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant.”
“Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025,” Blanchard continued, adding that “this was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we’re both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood.”
